When to Ask for Help

coach fundamentals Aug 27, 2019

You probably think we're going to talk about the Community again today.

Nope. :)

We're talking about when to shut an athlete down and send them to a doctor.

Sharp pain, numbness, radiating pain, loss of strength or consciousness requires a medical professional.

You can send them to a local professional or have them contact us.

If you aren't sure what to do...ask in the Community. :)

Have a great day,

Active Life Rules

coach fundamentals Aug 27, 2019

Rule #1: Assess. Don't guess.
If an athlete has an issue always start with the Active Life Flexibility and Mobility Assessments.

Rule #2: Don't let load exceed capacity.
Keep your athletes in safe ranges of motion using appropriate weight.

Rule #3: Know your clients.
A LOT of athletes in our 1 on 1 training program are injured due to overtraining. It's your job as a coach to know enough about your clients to tell them when it's time to take a rest day...or rest week.

Rule #4: Ask For Help
If you aren't sure what to do ask for help in the community.

I know...we say this a lot. :)
